Middle School Meet Tomorrow!

Middle School Meet tomorrow!

Parents and students should make their way down to Hilton Head Prep immediately after school (I'll be pulling out by 3:10pm) to cheer on our two middle school runners in the middle school meet, which kicks off at 4pm.  Please make every effort to be there to cheer on Sam and Ryan.  We won't have a popup setup for this meet, so just wear your travel shirts and form a line near the course to cheer them on!  See you there!

Week 7 Practice Schedule

Hey Everyone,

Happy Sunday!  We have a very busy week ahead of us, so please read through the following practice and meet schedule for the week.  We have an absolute required meet on Wednesday and then a community 5K meet that I'd like all of the high school students to do on Saturday.  If you are unable to participate in the meet Saturday, let me know by practice tomorrow, but we can get an official team score, so I'd like as many of us there as possible! =)  Middle school students should probably sit out on the meet Saturday because you will have your own middle school meet next week on Wednesday (which would make 3 meets within a week).  Don't forget that uniforms will be given out Monday, pictures are on Tuesday and then the meets on Wednesday and Saturday.  A busy week for sure!  PERSEVERE!

Saturday

I hope you are all having a fantastic Friday.  I'm having a great time worshiping with the middle school students on the middle school retreat.  Special thanks to Mr. White and Mrs. Flowers for running practice on Thursday!  I have decided to cancel practice for Saturday morning because of a few reasons (my wife's birthday and exhaustion from the retreat / football game), however I do expect you to run 3-5 miles on your own and e-mail me a screenshot.  Our uniforms have also arrived and will be given out Monday at practice.  Next week will be very busy with practice on Monday @ HHCA, pictures and practice on Tuesday @ Jarvis Creek, a meet at Honey Horn on Wednesday, a short practice Friday on Pinckney Island and a meet at Hampton Lake on Saturday.  I will send a full detailed schedule for next week sometime this weekend.  I hope you are all having a great week!  Persevere!

Week 6 Schedule

Hey Everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend.  It was awesome to see you all conquer the Cross Island Bridge.  It's time to really get mentally focused as we have a nice full week of training before the meet next Wednesday.  I will be with the 7th and 8th grade retreat Thursday and Friday, but Mrs. Flowers and Mr. White will be running a practice at Jarvis Creek Park.  Uniforms should also be arriving soon and we will have team pictures next Tuesday.  Check out the schedule below and see you soon!

Week 5 Schedule

Hey everyone,

It's actually a pretty normal week, no retreats or meets, so I look forward to some good, dedicated down-to-business practicing.  I would like you all to work towards running 4-5 days total a week, so that means 1 or 2 days of running on your own outside of our team practice.  When you do this, send a screenshot or share your results of 'Map My Run' to my e-mail (or something similar) and I'll add it to your stats.  You'll be amazed at how much it will help!

Run for RET Results

Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! While many HHCA students were sleeping Saturday morning recovering from the retreat, our cross country team participated in our second meet - the Run for Ret held at Hilton Head Prep! We had 14 runners participate in the meet, with several of them running in their first 5K ever. We had a great day on the tough course with the boys team finishing 4th, and the girls team finishing 3rd. Our top three runners for the boys included Sam Gilman, Grayson Lentz, and Hunter Greenwell. For the girls, it was Callie Haertel, Alyssa White and Lindsey Gillis. Great job to all who participated!
